Wind River Alliance - Staff

Jolene Catron is our Executive Director. Originally from New Mexico, Jolene is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. She moved to the Wind River Reservation in 1997, and lived in Arapahoe. After a few years, she and her daughter (an enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe) relocated to Lander, and have built a life there, which includes partner, Clarence and their 3-year–old son. In the past, Jolene has worked as a water rights specialist with the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Office of the Tribal Water Engineer, as a team member of the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Water Research Technical Assistance Office, and is a founding member of two organizations, the Wind River Alliance and the newly formed Indigenous Waters Network.
